Okay, okay, this thing is taking longer than we planned. But it’s awesome! Here, we’ve added some stuff to our site so you can see what we’ve been up to:
We’ll post more photos and news soon, as our actors and choreographers and art directors get their hands on this script. We’re holding our first read-through with the principle cast this Saturday – exciting!
Since all of us working on this film are volunteers, our time is limited; we have reevaluated our production schedule so we can give every step of making “We Can’t Stop!” as much attention as it truly deserves. Our plan was to film this spring, but instead, we’ve been handing casting and working to perfect the script, develop a conceptual art scheme, write some awesome songs, and plan for the months ahead.
By the end of this summer, we aim to give everyone in the project a firm production schedule and the completed script, along with songs and dances to learn (we’ll make videos so folks can practice from home). In the fall and winter we’ll schedule in some time for rehearsing, workshopping, and getting to know each other even better, and in the spring we’ll begin filming – for real!
